  11. Is the only basic difference between the USR Sportster 288 and the Vi 288
  12. the Vi's voicemail capability?  Do they both have the same ROM & DSP? and
  13. now for my totally ignorant question of the day...does the Vi's voicemail
  14. need the PC to be powered up or are the mailboxes actually within the 
  15. modem itself?  It'd be great to just have the modem powered up & plugged
  16. into the phone line to take advantage of the voicemail features...but I'm
  17. probably dreaming...   Thanks for the info.
